Who does not love to shoot photographs and keep them as a compilation for the future when reveries are most welcome? With the advent of the digital camera this becomes easier as storage space can be increased greatly. The only issue is that digital photographs need to be tinkered with if you do not possess a world class camera at hand such as a DSLR. Not to worry about, because with a photo editing software this is easy.

The first thing to remember is that at each stage save the file in a different name so that you can revert back to the image that you think was best. First thing to find is the portion of the picture that is blurred and you want removed. Use the crop tool and get rid of that portion. Then you go on to duplication of the layers so that you can segregate each portion of the image to work on individually. For example, the background might need g=brightening up for which you create two layers with the background in one and the portrait in the other.

Once, your background is as you want it, reapply back the layers using the flatten option in the program and save it as another file name. This way you can choose later on which picture to keep and which not to. Other than editing pictures, ensure that you take photos in the highest possible resolution setting on your digital camera and for the best results upgrade to a DSLR or a hybrid camera.
